ThermoAnalytics Version 8.1 of RadTherm, WinTherm, and MuSES Software is Released With More Customer-Requested Features

Ever responsive to customer feedback and requests, ThermoAnalytics, Inc. announces the release of Version 8.1 for its industry-leading heat transfer and infrared signature software. Version 8.1 features new temperature dependent properties, complex multilayer parts, and a Model Summary Table. These new features allow for increasingly sophisticated models, yielding more accurate results with reduced effort. President of ThermoAnalytics Keith Johnson states, “Version 8.1 provides users with increased levels of sophistication while preserving our trademark usability. It brings simulation even closer to the physical reality, creating higher accuracy predictions and accelerating product time-to-market.”

With Version 8.1 of RadTherm, WinTherm, and MuSES software, engineers and companies around the world will reap a multitude of modeling benefits. For professionals working with wide temperature ranges, these new software features will enable them to create more realistic models. Scott Peck, TAI Manager of Software Development, adds: “We continue to respond to our customers’ needs, and this version contains some of the most requested features. Once again, we are raising the bar in accuracy, efficiency, and overall return on investment.”

New Features in Version 8.1:

Temperature Dependent Properties
Users can now define variable temperatures for materials, allowing for predictions that are mechanistically closer to physical reality. These temperature dependent properties address the nonlinearity of conduction, specific heat, and emissivity.

Complex Multilayer Parts
Prior versions of ThermoAnalytics software included parts with three layers. Version 8.1 expands this approach and offers parts with up to 20 layers of material. Increasingly complex multilayer components can now be defined in the model, producing much more accurate simulations. Customers in architecture, automotive, and aerospace industries will benefit greatly from this enhanced layering.

Model Summary Table
Users will be able to access information more quickly with the new Model Summary Table. This feature takes all the settings in the model and presents them in a spreadsheet for easy viewing. Errors are discovered and corrected, reducing the occurrence of re-running a simulation. The Model Summary Table is also useful for model documentation.
