PRISM
Physically Reasonable Infrared Signature Model

PRISM is an infrared signature prediction program with an inherent thermal analysis capability that is used predominately for military defense applications throughout the US and NATO countries.

PRISM (version 3.3) is the current standard US Army infrared signature prediction code used for ground vehicles and other targets of interest. PRISM was originally developed for the US Army TACOM and other military sponsors and has been in use since 1986 by government and industrial organizations throughout the United States and Europe.

Future development of PRISM will be in the larger context of the MuSES (Multi-Service Electro-optic Signature) program. MuSES is the next-generation infrared signature prediction program from ThermoAnalytics. The goal of the MuSES program is to provide an industry standard for signature prediction in the ground vehicle community while maintaining continuity for current PRISM users. Rather than procuring wholly new development programs, it will leverage off of other government programs through collaboration, technology transfer, dual-use, and consortium funding.
