Human Simulation

Human Technology Overview

Our Human Thermal Simulation Module is the state-of-the-art technology for predicting human thermal comfort, safety, and effectiveness. All thermoregulatory responses are supported and based on activity level.

Human Thermal Comfort

Our human comfort simulation software allows users to place virtual test dummies into environments for computing comfort indices and designing improved clothing, HVAC, or environmental control systems.

Human Effectiveness

Our research engineers can configure a virtual dummy in your environment that is undergoing a stressful, physically exerting activity level. We can also develop user routines to out a specific effectiveness metric or implement feedback control systems to an engineered environment. The model is delivered with full engineering reports and analysis.

Human Infrared Signature

Human infrared signature analysis requires the most advanced technologies for predicting the temperatures of human skin, clothing, and the environment around the human. Our combination of software for human thermal simulation and infrared analysis delivers and unparalleled level of control over both factors.

Thermal Manikin Control Software

ManikinPC2 software reads the skin temperature distribution of a thermal manikin, nicknamed "Newton," and computes accurate physiological and metabolic responses over time. The software predicts blood flow rates, perspiration rates, and core body temperature. These are translated into wattages that produce a realistic thermal response, complete with a thermal comfort index.

Sample Models

The ThermoAnalytics Human Comfort Module is a collection of user routines and property databases. It simulates the human body's thermal response to environments with significant thermal loads.

Human Thermal Comfort Software Module

The ThermoAnalytics Human Comfort Module is an advanced plug-in for RadTherm and MuSES software. It analyzes the human thermal comfort of virtual test dummies within complex environments: indoor, outdoor, and in transportation systems. Full radiant, convective and conductive heat transfer is accounted for.
