WinTherm PRO Heat Transfer Analysis Software
WinTherm Pro makes system-level thermal analysis affordable. By simulating the complete heat transfer of a system (radiation, conduction, convection), WinTherm Pro answers system-level heat management questions. To use the software, you input a surface mesh of your geometry, assign heat inputs and boundary conditions through the graphical user interface, and specify steady-state or transient analysis. WinTherm Pro takes it from there, and calculates the temperature for all surfaces and fluids in the system. Your model resolution is limited to 64,000 thermal nodes (typically 32,000 mesh elements). This does not limit the physical size of the system you wish to model, but rather limits the number of elements—points—used to represent the thermal system. 

WinTherm Pro utilizes the same state-of-the-art technology found in our RadTherm software: a voxel-based ray tracer determines which elements can "see" each other to exchange radiation, a planar conduction module to predict heat transfer across and through a surface, and the convection library to automatically determine convection rates.

The intuitive arrangement of the user interface permits both novice and expert users to set up and analyze thermal systems with a minimum of user input and no programming. WinTherm Pro is divided into four distinct segments to guide the user through the solution procedure: Geometry, Editor, Analyze, and Post Processor. Several tutorials included with the software will familiarize the user with the simple but thorough modeling procedure.

Fast and Accurate

  • Extremely fast and accurate thermal solution. Surface temperatures are initialized with a steady-state solution, and then the simulation proceeds through time with a transient solution over the designated prediction time.
  • Physical temperature of the model's surface is displayed on the meshed geometry as a thermal image during the solution process. The image can be rotated and viewed at any direction throughout the thermal prediction simulation.
  • Specialized part types such as 3-layer elements and highly conductive parts allow modeling of complex situations.
  • State-of-the-art voxel-based ray tracer that uses spatial subdivision to achieve fast view factor solutions.
