Using our Hyperspectral Rendering Module for ThermoAnalytics' MuSES Software, our team can develop plume simulation for aircraft, ground vehicles, and naval vessels while providing the most comprehensive infrared rendering available.

The ThermoAnalytics Hyperspectral Module can provide spectral resolution to 1cm-1 while writing out the hypercube image raster in BIP (band-interleaved-by-pixel) format.
Threat Identification
Hyperspectral imaging of combustion-generated plumes can reveal information about the plume source. Predictive models can be used to identify basic knowledge about the propulsion system.

Survivability Analysis
Plume radiance can be the primary driver of infrared contrast, allowing assets to be detected from a long range by a variety of sensing technologies. Plume models are used to predict the plume radiance of an asset under specific or broad conditions, and to assess the likelihood of detection by a specific sensor, under those conditions. Models can be used to improve survivability against threats using IR sensing technology by taking steps to decrease the probability of detection.

Spectral Plume
Exhaust plumes emit both highly spectral peaks from the gaseous product of combustion and black body emissions from soot for diesel applications. Using our high spectral resolution rendering module, we can export hyperspectral fused renderings of the complete hard body and plume with an integrated background. Our team can create geometry and compute the CFD flow field under various environmental and atmospheric conditions. Our renderings include plume radiance and plume transmittance as well as atmospheric attenuation for the sensor.
Learn More about Infrared Analysis & Simulation Services
ThermoAnalytics has provided all of the branches of the United States military with advanced IR signature targets for analyzing camouflage, concealment, and deception. Our engineers can also account for plumes and plume impingement by combining MuSES with CFD Software results.
ThermoAnalytics simulates and tests concept vehicles for infrared signature analysis. US Army TACOM uses MuSES to find the detection range of IR signature targets. The Army TARDEC and AMRDEC research teams also rely on ThermoAnalytics software for IR signature analysis.
If you have a problem that's not captured by our software "out of the box," ask ThermoAnalytics to develop a custom script and user routine for you. For example, a system with custom PID temperature controls can be quickly and easily built into a user routine with outputs to control heaters and cooling loops.
Using MuSES' Hyperspectral Rendering Module, our team can develop plume simulation for aircraft, ground vehicles, and naval vessels while providing the most comprehensive infrared rendering available.
ThermoAnalytics is a global leader in infrared signature management and the engineering processes that lead to a minimized IR contrast. Efficient engineering processes are key to short product development cycles and total product quality.
Our MuSES Software is the undisputed leader in target radiance predictions. We have also developed proprietary methods of modeling phenomena that affect a sensor's output. Using ThermoAnalytics software, you can model sensor response, sensor noise, atmospheric path attenuation, and atmospheric scattering.
Infrared signature management services from ThermoAnalytics involves the comprehensive planning, testing and simulation of IR contrast for targets operating under a range of environmental conditions.
Our team can model your targets for vulnerability or threat analysis, yielding contrast metrics and BRDF rendered images. ThermoAnalytics leads the industry in modeling LO technologies—not just for post-design system evaulation, but for system design from the conceptual level up.
