At the International Symposium for Indirect Protection (ISIP) 2023, ThermoAnalytics' EU Business Development Manager Kameswara Kethireddy will present his abstract, Automated synthetic infrared image generation for AI applications, during Session 3 on Thursday, October 26 at 11:00 am.

Read his abstract below:
AI-powered systems have demonstrated state-of-the-art target recognition performance; however, they require large training sets of images to ensure accuracy. In the case of electro-optical infrared (EO/IR) remote sensing, acquiring sufficient measured imagery can be difficult, particularly for confidential and high-value targets.  Highly accurate EO/IR scene simulation is a great alternative to testing, which is expensive and, in most cases, very limited & confidential. In this presentation, we will propose an automated process to generate accurate IR images through our physics-based simulation software, MuSES, and process software, CoTherm. The MuSES inputs include environments such as weather, global location, date and time, vehicle engine state, target perspective, sensor resolution, waveband, etc. The output of this process is a MuSES-generated EO/IR sensor radiance image dataset with the necessary variety to be suitable for algorithm development and training. This process enables users to build imagery of any target under any condition.

ISIP is a valuable forum for information exchange and discussions on future technologies concerning indirect protection. You can meet international experts in indirect protection and talk to representatives of international companies and institutions during the conference in the exhibit hall.

Attendants will get

  • An abstract book with additional information about ISIP 2023
  • An ISIP 2023 CD containing approved presentations
  • The possibility for exhibitors to give a short presentation of their products during the conference
