The 37th Annual SEMI-THERM conference took place March 22-26th, with a series of presentations and short courses covering topics in thermal management and the characterization of electronic components and systems.

As you know, the 2020 User Group Meeting (UGM) was postponed due to concerns around the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been working diligently on plans for next year and had originally planned for fall of 2021.

ThermoAnalytics, Inc. (TAI), a leader in advanced thermal, fluid-flow, and infrared modeling software, announced the promotion of Bobbi Wood, age 53, to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer, effective August 24, 2020. She has served as the Chief Operating Officer since 2019. 

The FMI (Functional Mock-up Interface) standard allows system models to be exported in a tool-agnostic format (FMU, or Functional Mock-up Unit). These FMU models can be created by a wide array of 1D/system modeling software which can then be integrated into any FMI-compliant simulation toolchain.
